The Aftermath Files

I'm currently writing a book. It's called The Aftermath Files.

It's about three Illinois children, Hannah, Jonah, and Nick Jones. When there parents die in a flaming inferno, they become homeless, even when the citizens of the town are aware of it. Their parents will states that Mr. & Mrs. Jones wanted their children homeless.

But are the Jones parents' really dead?

Maybe Not.

Hannah meets a mysterious boy in a Burger King, and tells her that her parents are alive. And he backs it up with good evidence. The Aftermath File is the evidence. Hannah believes him, and runs into her siblings. And they begin a great adventure to find the file, and find out if their parents are truly dead.

Meanwhile, Jonah goes on a personal search, to find his twin, one he never even knew existed. He not only goes on a physical journey, but a journey in his heart.

I'm in the middle of writing the book now. It's pushing a October 2009 publication date. I plan to sell the book to Hyperion Books For Children, but if it doesn't work out, I'll sell it to Scholastic Press.

Stay tuned for more detais!
