Post From 1/23/11:

My blog has a new look... again.

This blog isn't all about books anymore. They still will be the primary focus of the blog, but more frequently will the posts will be centered around other activities & current issues. Same with my Twitter.

SCAT Book Review

Carl Hiaasen's new novel SCAT sure packs a punch! The story starts when a hated biology teacher goes missing on a field trip to Black Vine Swamp. Nick and his friend Marta think the class's juvenile delinquent: Duane Scrod Jr., (a.k.a. Smoke) is responsible. He is, but not in the way you think! Read SCAT for a full 371 page adventure, with surprises at every turn!

THE LAST OLYMPIAN COVER

Below You Will Find The Cover and Summary For THE LAST OLYMPIAN! The cover is the best one yet, in my opinion. Your thoughts???

All year the half-bloods have been preparing for battle against the Titans, knowing the odds of victory are grim. Kronos's army is stronger than ever, and with every god and half-blood he recruits, the evil Titan's power only grows. While the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster Typhon, Kronos begins his advance on New York City, where Mount Olympus stands virtually unguarded. Now it's up to Percy Jackson and an army of young demigods to stop the Lord of Time.

In this momentous final book in the New York Times best-selling Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, the long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy's sixteenth birthday unfolds. And as the battle for Western civilization rages on the streets of Manhattan, Percy faces a terrifying suspicion that he may be fighting against his own fate.

SCAT And The Demigod Files

FEBRUARY 15, 2009-
I know that we are in the middle of renovation, but I do have some exciting news about some exciting novels for when this thing is ready!

First, you may have noticed the picture above. This is Carl Hiaasen's new novel SCAT. I bought it yesterday, and it's the the second follow-up to the novel HOOT. More details to follow when I give a general review of this thing, but it involves a missing biology teacher, a nasty swamp, and a juvenile delinquent.

Second, I got the Demigod Files yesterday too! My Rating: 5! It delivers three great stories, and the preview of The Last Olympian did not disappoint! It finds Percy and Rachel Elizabeth Dare in Percy's car, and an expected pop-in from an old friend! Check them out!

Third, Rick Riordan will reveal the cover for The Last Olympian on Wednesday. Come back then to see the cover!
